OMSI and Portland General Electric will sponsor a celebration on August 3 and 4, 2007 (10am – 2pm) in dowtown Portland Oregon. The Road to Biglow blade event celebrates PGE’s newest wind farm, scheduled to open in December 2007. Attendees will enjoy music, activities, prizes, food, and lots of information about wind power and renewable energy! Look for the GIANT white turbine blande that stretches between Salmon and Taylor Streets on Southwest First Avenue!
Participants who enroll in PGE renewable power at the event will have the chance to sign the trubine blade before its installation at the Biglow Wind Farm. If you’re already enrolled in the PGE renewable power plan, bring your newsletter or bill and you can sign the turbine blade too!
