Worldwide Telescope Now a part of Bing Maps

Microsoft’s Bing Maps now includes the Worldwide Telescope application, allowing users to look up from the map street view and see the stars. The WorldWide Telescope (WWT) enables your computer to function as a virtual telescope, bringing together imagery from the best ground and space-based telescopes in the world. Narrated guided tours featuring interesting places in the sky and created by astronomers and educators are available for your use.

To use the WorldWide Telescope application in Bing Maps, select “Maps Apps” from the Bing Maps welcome screen found at this link http://www.bing.com/maps/explore/
